Personal Koffee ;-))

Trust me, I'm neither a K Jo fan nor his critic...But couldnt resist this...I wanted to write this last week itself but, unfortunately, I couldn't(due to work pressure...just kidding!) :-)

Last week's guests on Koffee with Karan were Saif Ali Khan & sister Soha...The show started off very well with the usual, stupid jokes & jibes from K Jo...Later, as it progressed, Karan asked Saif about his marital split, and then, there was no stopping him. He continued to bombard Saif (and later, Soha) with extremely personal questions about the status of Saif's relationship with Amrita & Rosa, Rosa's relatioship with the kids, Soha's past & present comfort level with Amrita and her current equation with Rosa and so on.

Saif was obviously uncomfortable - it could be seen and felt too. What does K Jo gain or lose, no matter who's in or out of Saif's or anyone's(other than his own, of course!) life???

The media leaves no stone unturned to publicise filmstars' private lives...After all, who doesn't appreciate gossip at a third person's expense...The first paper most readers turn to is Bombay Times or lately, the Entertainment section of the Mumbai Mirror.
Now, is K Jo taking it upon himself to execute the role of the media and have fun at someone else's expense too???

Oh! You seem to be Obsessed about K Jo.
Well its just a publicity stunt for all. Franly I don't see this stuff. But indeed no one tends to respect the fact that they are normal humans earning their Bread & Butter by entertaining us.

Hey Maya wats the fixation with Karan Johar?
Also plz dont address him as K Jo, put hims at par with J Lo... which he doesnt deserve.
How much ever we crib about others privacy and personal life, most of d people do njoi this form of gossip.
Like u said BT has become d main supplement and TOI d additional one.
You have to watch Rendezvous 2 know how Simi extracts people's emotional moments out of them.

I completely agree with Swapna. DO NOT CALL HIM K JO!!! Aadmi ka poora naam likhne ko kitna time lagta hai be???

As for his intrusive way of interviewing, it is disgusting. lekin kya karein, people seem to like this sort of stuff. extremely pathetic state of affairs!

While I have never quite liked the Karan Johar (I am affixing the article deliberately, as I do feel that he is an unique sample), I do find his show to be entertaining at times. While it is true that the media does not respect the privacy that celebrities also expect in personal matters, it is also worthy of mention that it is all a matter of demand and supply. The public wants to know more about their 'idols' and the media merely serves to satisfy that want. If the newspaper people were to realize that no one's reading BT, they would stop printing it, period. And if there's no place to print such gossip, if no one wants to read such trash, then who would go to the trouble of digging it up in the first place?
Celebrities, for one, are rather strange, as they want to bake their cake and have it as well. You can't say that I want to be famous, and yet I want to be enigmatic. Stay in a cave, and become a hermit, if that's what you want. The cine world's not for you.

Believe you me, that if Saif Ali Khan were an ordinary person, and had you been a friend of his, the same questions would have been posed by you as well. Because these are questions that truly matter.

So my advice to you would be: if you find it so offensive, stop watching the damn show and advise your friends to do the same.

K Jo, nahi Maya!!! aisa naam sab mat rakh!!!
btw Maya, remember 'Everything is planned'. Not that Saif didn't know this was the topic of discussion on the show.
And even if he did not, he could've as well denied answering any such question on national T.V.
But these people don't mind as long as they are the apple of everyone's eyes.
Nothing can be done without the invitee's consent. It's the price that they have to pay for the money and fame!
But there are people who don't publicise private affairs. All these are highly individualistic.
